ToolboxQuote: privacy policy (TEMPLATE)
TEMPLATE. Have it reviewed by a qualified professional before publishing. Replace every
[BRACKETED]placeholder. It describes the app as built on 15 Oct 2026 (no accounts, no analytics, data on the device). If you add analytics, crash reporting, payments inside the app, sync or a backend, rewrite it. Publish it as a normal web page (not a PDF) at a stable URL, e.g.https://[DOMAIN]/toolboxquote/privacy, and link it from the app and every store listing.
Effective date: [DATE]
Who we are: [YOUR NAME OR BUSINESS NAME], [ADDRESS], [CONTACT EMAIL] ("we", "us").
The short version
ToolboxQuote does not collect, receive, sell or share your personal data. There is no account and no sign-in. The app does not use analytics, advertising or tracking. What you enter is stored only on your device, in your browser's local storage for this app, and stays there until you delete it.
What the app stores, and where
The app stores the following on your device only: business details, your logo image, customers' names and contact details you enter, quotes, invoices, payment status and your reply templates.
This data is stored under ToolboxQuote's keys in your browser's or app's local storage. We cannot see it, access it, back it up or recover it.
- Clipboard and share: when you tap Copy or Share, the text or document goes to your device's clipboard or share sheet. Where it goes next is your choice and is governed by the app you share to (e.g. email, WhatsApp).
- Print / PDF: PDFs are created on your device through your browser's print function.
- "Pay online" links: if you add a payment link, it appears on your documents. Your customers' use of that link is governed by your payment provider, not by us.
- Your customers' data: you are responsible for having a lawful basis to store your customers' details on your device and for answering their requests about it. We never receive this data.
What we do not do
- We do not run servers that receive your app data.
- We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising IDs, fingerprinting or third-party SDKs.
- We do not sell or share personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
- The app's Content Security Policy blocks connections to third-party servers.
Website hosting and app stores
- Hosting: the app's files are delivered by [HOSTING PROVIDER, e.g. Netlify / Cloudflare]. Like any web host, it may automatically process technical data such as your IP address, browser type and request time in server logs to deliver and secure the site. That processing is governed by [HOSTING PROVIDER]'s privacy policy: [LINK]. (Check your host's logging and retention settings.)
- App stores: if you install ToolboxQuote from [Google Play / Microsoft Store / Samsung Galaxy Store / Apple App Store], the store may collect data about your purchase and download under its own privacy policy. We receive only the aggregated or limited information those stores provide to developers, such as install counts and purchase records.
- Payments: if you buy from us directly, the payment is processed by [Stripe / Lemon Squeezy / Gumroad], which acts under its own privacy policy. We receive the order details needed to fulfil and support your purchase ([name, email, country, order ID]).
- Support emails: if you email us, we use your email and message only to reply, and keep them for [PERIOD].
Your choices and control
- Delete your data: clear this site's data in your browser settings, or uninstall the app. This permanently deletes your data from the device.
- Backups: use the app's JSON backup/export to save a copy of your data to a file you control, and restore it from that file later. Backup files are created and read on your device only; we never receive them. Without a backup, clearing browser or app data removes your data.
- Because we hold no app data about you, we cannot fulfil access or deletion requests for data on your device. You control it directly. For data we do hold (purchase records, support emails), contact [CONTACT EMAIL].
Children
ToolboxQuote is not directed to children under [13 / 16, depending on your region].
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights over personal data we hold, such as purchase or support records. Contact [CONTACT EMAIL]. [Add a lawful basis, controller details and your supervisory authority if you are subject to the GDPR.]
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app or on this page.

ToolboxQuote: terms of use (TEMPLATE)
TEMPLATE. Have it reviewed by a qualified professional before publishing. Replace every
[BRACKETED]placeholder. App stores add their own terms (e.g. Apple's standard EULA, and Google Play's terms of service), and the store's terms apply too for store purchases.
Effective date: [DATE]
These terms are an agreement between you and [YOUR NAME OR BUSINESS NAME] ("we", "us") for your use of ToolboxQuote ("the app").
1. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for [personal / your own business] purposes, in line with these terms and the terms of the store or website you got it from. You may not resell, sublicense or redistribute the app, or remove our notices, unless you have bought a separate source-code, white-label or commercial licence.
2. Your data stays on your device
The app stores what you enter only on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for your data. We cannot access, back up or recover it. Clearing your browser or app data, uninstalling, changing device or browser, or device failure can permanently delete it.
3. Important limitations
- Not accounting or tax software. ToolboxQuote produces documents from what you type. You are responsible for checking that quotes and invoices meet the legal and tax requirements where you work (for example VAT invoice rules or e-invoicing obligations) and for keeping records for as long as the law requires.
- Totals, tax and discounts are calculated from your inputs. Check every document before you send it.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use the app to break the law, infringe others' rights, or harass or mislead anyone (for example in messages or documents you create with it).
5. Purchases and refunds
- Store purchases: refunds follow the store's refund policy.
- Direct purchases: [REFUND POLICY, e.g. "14-day no-questions refund"]. Statutory consumer rights in your country are not affected.
6. Updates and availability
We may update, change or stop offering the app. Updates are delivered through the app's service worker or the store. We don't guarantee the app will be available, error-free or compatible with every device or browser.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim (or [AMOUNT] if you paid nothing). Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g. for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and disputes go to the courts of [JURISDICTION], unless your local consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings where you live.
